Mother/Daughter competition duos

Since Easter and Mother's Day are right around the corner, I thought I'd write a blog about mother/daughter duos and competing in pageants.  This year, MRI had two competing mother/daughter duos.  Summer and Savannah came all the way from Alaska, and Jacklyn and Ace came from Wisconsin.  They had such a great time competing together and bonding over something they both love: pageantry.

First, let's meet our mother/daughter duo:  Summer and Savannah

Summer was Ms. Alaska America in 2013.  Savannah had been around the pageant scene before because of her mom, but never actually competed herself.   This was her first pageant.  MRI is so honored to have been her first pageant, and what a better way than to jump right into pageants with her mom!  Here are some pictures of them at the pageant below:

Now let's meet our other mother/daughter duo, Jacklyn and Ace.  They are the opposite of Summer and Savannah; Jacklyn's always watched her daughter compete in pageants, but never competed herself.  Ace is a ball of energy and we had a great time meeting both of them.  May I add that Jacklyn won our "Best Worst Model" contest at our party?  She was quite hilarious!  Here are some pictures of their mother/daughter experience:

That about sums it up.  We are thrilled that these mother/daughter duos had a fantastic time competing together.  They made so many memories together, and that's what pageants are all about.
